1967: (Year 8)

  • The 8th year since our foundation and the roll has almost reached 1,000.
  • The new library is opened. No confirmation with regards the gymnasium although the finance is now available.
  • Pre-vocational course continues for 5th form students.
  • The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme is introduced for 4th and 5th form Girls. 51 Girls gained their Bronze award.
  • 4th May: Cultural & Music visit from Tawa College.
  • In July the major Musical Production:- "Down In The Valley".
  • 14th October: The largest ever Search & Rescue party comb Mt. Egmont/Taranaki looking for 25 girls and 4 teachers from the Spotswood College Tramping Club who were reported missing on the rain-swept slopes.
  • Sports exchanges continue with Manurewa HS, Freyberg HS and Tawa College.
  • Sports teams: 5 Rugby; 2 Soccer; 2 Boys' and 1 Girls' Hockey;
