About Making a Donation

Donations are tax deductable

The Spotswood College Alumni Trust was established in 2006 for the purpose of supporting the students and staff of Spotswood College in the future.

The Alumni Trust is an Incorporated Society (No.1855484) and in 2008 was granted Charitable status by the N.Z. Charities Commission (CC24439).

Your donation is tax deductible, so by donating to a registered charity, you are able to claim one-third (33.3%) of the total you donate up to the level of your taxable income.

To make a claim you need to file the IRD form IR526 together with the Alumni Trust receipt.

If you are keen to support the College through the Alumni Trust there are three ways in which you can do so:

Making a payment from Overseas:

If you wish to make a donation from an overseas account, please be aware that your bank and the TSB Bank both charge fees.

It is better to either send the Trust your personal cheque which we can then bank here for a small fee, or send us an international bank draft.

If you prefer to make a payment from overseas you will require some additional internet banking details. New Zealand does not use IBAN, ABA, BSB or Sort Code. The TSB Bank uses the following:-
