Won a scholarship to Brussels Conservatoire of music(Arts College), and won the title of Laurent de Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles.

Played the piano, organ, harmonium and harpsichord. The Mons Conservatoire have named a room after Allen to recognize his contribution.
